Our articles, guides, diagrams and calculator are general information about maintenance, reliability and engineering data. They are not advice for your particular plant, machine or situation, and they are not a substitute for an assessment by a competent person on site.

Diagrams marked as schematic show how something works; they are not readings or results from a real asset. Figures from the downtime cost calculator are estimates based on the numbers you enter.

We take care to keep the content accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is complete, up to date or free from error, and you should not rely on it alone when making decisions about your equipment.

The text, diagrams, images and code on this site belong to AWI Ltd or to the people who have licensed them to us. You are welcome to view, print and share pages for your own reference, and to link to them.

Please do not copy substantial parts of the site, republish our diagrams, or use the content commercially without our written permission. Other companies' names and trade marks belong to their owners.

Do not use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms the site or its visitors, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to our systems. If you find a security weakness, please report it as set out in our security policy, which also explains the testing we authorise.
